Cibotium chamissoi (Man Fern) from Hawaii The trunk can grow up to 16’ in height and the fronds can grow up to 10’ in length. Prefers sheltered conditions with plenty of water for moist soil. The crown is wide spreading and has a thick trunk with a thick mass of light brown hairs covering upper part to the trunk and stipes.
