Rhapis multifida

Rhapis multifida is more refined than R. excelsa in appearance. It’s shorter and has wider pale green leaves with more narrower leaflets that are less stiff and tend to droop a little. The crown is not as dense but makes a great house and patio plant. Often called finger palm of ladyfinger palm.

Notes: Rhapis is a genus of about 10 species of small palms native to southeastern Asia to Sumatra. These palms are commonly known as lady palms. They are a type of fan palm with leaves in a rounded fan of numerous leaflets. The stems are thin growing to 3-4m tall, branching at the base of, forming clumps.
