Platycerium superbum: Giant Staghorn or moose horn
Australia
Non-clumping (means that propagation is by spore only)
This is one of the most magnificent and easily grown of the platyceriums. With its crown of sterile fronds that are grayish-green and deeply lobed, it may reach 1.3 meters (4 ft) tall. The fertile frond extends down and outward from the bud (Rhizome), deeply divided with a large spore patch. Fertile fronds reach lengths of 1-2 m (3 6 ft).
