Deer Fern (Blechnum spicant) Pacific Northwest native fern
Sterile low-growing fronds spread out from the center, while the thin fertile fronds grow upright from the center of the plant, which is more like a clump and reaching heights of only 12-24." It is a California native and also found all the way to Alaska. It grows well in moist acidic soil and compliments any garden.
