Polypodium Scouleri: This species is native to the western U.S. coastal forest. It grows best in moist humus soil conditions on rocks, trees and park logs. This fern has deeply lobed leathery evergreen fronds with creeping rhizomes that grow up to 8 - 12 inches tall slowly spreading out. Requires good drainage and is a beautiful addition to your garden or patio in hanging baskets or containers.
